Privacy Policy — Ontimo

Ontimo ("the app", "we") helps caregivers record and get reminders for medications. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. We have tried to keep it plain and honest.
Summary
- Your medication information is stored only on your device. We do not store your medication data on any server.
- The app has no user accounts, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking.
- When you scan a medication label, the photo is sent through our secure relay server to Anthropic (the Claude AI service) to read the text on it.
- We do not sell your data.
Information the app handles
Medication data you enter or scan — medication names, dosages, times, schedules, and the history of doses you mark as taken. This is saved locally on your device (in the app's private storage) so it is available the next time you open the app. It is not transmitted to us.
Third-Party AI Processing
Before your first use of the AI scan feature, Ontimo asks for your consent. When you use the AI scan feature, your photo of a medication bag or sheet is transmitted through our secure relay server — which does not store it — to Anthropic PBC's Claude AI service, solely to extract medication name, dosage, and schedule so a reminder can be created. Our relay server keeps an anonymous scan count (not linked to your identity) to enforce scan limits. Photos are not used to identify you and are not stored by Ontimo. Per Anthropic's Commercial Terms, API data is not used for model training and receives equivalent data protection. We do not share your data with any other third party except for this AI processing purpose.
Camera — used only to take a photo of a medication label when you tap Scan. The app does not access your photo library except when you choose a photo to scan.
Notifications — medication reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device by iOS. No reminder data is sent to us or any server.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email, phone number, or account (the app has no sign-up).
- No location data.
- No analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.
- Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
Where your data lives and how to delete it
All of your medication data stays on your device. Deleting the app removes all of that data. Because your medication data is never stored on a server, we cannot access, recover, or delete it for you.
Children
The app is intended for adult caregivers and is not directed at children.
Not medical advice
Ontimo is a recording and reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist, and verify medication details against the original prescription.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this URL.

資料存放位置與刪除方式
所有用藥資料都存放在你的裝置上。刪除本 App 即會移除全部資料。 由於用藥資料不會儲存在伺服器上，因此我們無法存取、還原或代你刪除這些資料。
兒童
本 App 供成年照護者使用，並非針對兒童設計。

Ontimo 只是記錄與提醒工具，不提供醫療診斷、治療或建議。請務必依照醫師或藥師的 指示用藥，並與原始處方核對藥物資訊。
